How do you read a trainer return curve?

A return curve shows the percentage of a yard's seasonal returners that ran for the first time in each month from May to April, so the peak shows the yard's main return point.

Which jumps yards run through the summer?

Summer operations bring a large share of their string out between May and September, often to smaller fields on faster ground.

Which yards wait until November to run their horses?

November starters hold most of the string until the core winter season, when softer ground and the big Saturday programmes arrive.

Are return dates consistent from season to season?

The horse table lists each tracked horse's return date in each of four seasons, showing whether an individual follows its yard's pattern.

How can a return curve be used with the readiness table?

A return curve says when a yard's horses reappear, and the readiness table says how often they win on that first run, so the two pages are read together.
