When does This month in numbers roll over?

The page switches to the new month on the 1st, starting again from zero races. Until then each racing day's results are added every morning.

Why compare with the last five years?

Five years gives a large enough sample for each month while keeping the comparison recent. The past columns show the same calendar month only, so seasonal patterns are matched.

What counts as a big-priced winner?

Any winner returned at an SP of 20/1 or bigger is listed in the big winners table. Betfair SP is shown next to SP where it is available.

Why can early-month figures swing so much?
